EDITING SERVICES
Editing is a vital component of any writing project. A finished project should be error free, clear and concise. I can assist you in determining what type of editing your project needs.
EDITING
Proof Reading
Proofreading involves reviewing the final document before it is printed and published to detect any errors overlooked during editing or that occurred during page layout. Proofreading is not intensive; it does not involve re-working text, re-arranging content or re-writing
Copy Editing
Copy editing focuses on improving style and formatting, and maintaining consistency and flow throughout the entire document. Copy editing involves correcting internal inconsistencies by deleting jargon, eliminating bias, simplifying overly complicated passages or developing overly simple passages, smoothing language, all while maintaining the author's voice. Copy editing also checks grammatical accuracy by correcting errors in spelling, usage, grammar, punctuation
Content Editing
The work involved with content editing is more intensive than copy editing. This includes a thorough review of the document, making suggestions to the order in which paragraphs, chapters or sections appear, or what might be added or deleted to improve the document. Content editing might include some level of content creation and re-writing.
